INDICATIONS:
Duoderm CGF Extra Thin is a hydrocolloid moisture retentative wound dressing for superficial wounds with little or no exudate and for early intervention on those at risk for skin breakdown.
Extra Thin CGF: This dressing differs from the other Duoderms because it is thinner and there for more flexible allowing to better adhere on difficult body locations such as an ankle. They do not do as well on moderately draining wounds as they are not as thick. Per manufacturer: DuoDERM CGF (control gel formula) Extra Thin dressings interact with wound exudate to produce a soft gel mass that enables removal of the dressing with minimal damage to newly formed granulating tissue. DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressings unique hydrocolloid composition provides an optimal moist wound environment that supports the wound-healing process, protects the wound by creating a bacterial and viral barrier while the dressing remains intact. DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressings can remain in place for a up to 7 days.
DuoDERM CGF (controlled gel formula) Extra Thin dressings provide an optimal moist wound environment and are more flexible and conformable to fit difficult anatomical locations, and offer excellent protection for sites at risk for skin breakdown. It consist of a highly flexible, polyurethane film outer layer and an adhesive skin contact layer that contains a unique hydrocolloid composition. DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressings are indicated for
Dry to lightly exuding wounds including: Dermal ulcers and diabetic ulcers
Postoperative wounds
As a protective dressings for areas at risk of skin breakdownThis product does not contain latex.
