Afalfa has been used by the Chinese since the 6th century to treat kidney stones and relieve fluid retention and swelling. Alfalfa is a good laxative and a natural diuretic. It is useful for urinary tract infections, and kidney, bladder and prostrate disorders, pituitary gland functioning and has some antifungal properties. Alfalfa has alkalizing properties and helps to detox the liver.
