Nasalcease quickly stops minor nosebleeds, reducing the trauma and embarrassment sufferers experience when using tissues and cotton balls. Nasalcease doesnt stick to newly formed clots and is removed without rebleeds.
DIRECTIONS:
- Take and individual wrapped sterile Nasalcease pouch and tear open the pack where indicated.
- Grasp the ends of the Nasalcease packing and twist it as shown to facilitate insertion into the nasal cavity.
- Minor nosebleeds virtually always occur in one nasal cavity. One Nasalcease pack should work for most nosebleeds. However certain nasal cavities may be smaller or larger. When necessary, one nasalcease packing may be easily sized to fit in a smaller nasal cavity. For a larger nasal cavity, a second nasalcease or part of a second product may be used. To resize simply grasp the packing as shown and separate the fibers from top to bottom allowing for the needed resized nasalcease.
- Insert Nasalcease until the exposed end of the packing is just to the base of the nasal cavity as shown.
- Remove Nasalcease within thirty minutes by pinching the exposed end of the packing between your thumb and forefinger while gently removing as shown. If NasalCEASE feels dry, you can moisten the material with saline solution before removal. If blood is still coming from the nose after removal of NasalCEASE, insert a second pack and remove it after another thirty minutes.
WARNINGS:
Do not coat NasalCEASE with ointments prior to use. This could interfere with the formation of the alginate gel at the interface between tissue and packing.
